Grab a lawn chair and get ready to pick. Peach Ice Cream Bluegrass is bringing their campfire sound to Aiken Music Fest!
If you love the feeling of old friends, guitars in hand and songs drifting out into the night, Peach Ice Cream Bluegrass is going to feel like home. This crew blends bluegrass, folk, country, and improvisational jam music into a sound that’s equal parts front-porch tradition and freeform experimentation.
Think easygoing, outdoorsy, hippie vibes with just enough fun effects and improv thrown in to keep you guessing about where the set will head next.
That setlist? A healthy stack of originals alongside some real bluegrass standards, plus fresh takes on some of today’s most popular songs. Whatever your taste in music, there’s a good chance PICB will play something that hits just right.
But more than anything, this band brings a vibe. It’s a “come one, come all” kind of energy with good music, good people, good times, and (*cough* unofficially *cough*) somebody’s jar of white lightnin’ making the rounds. This is the kind of show where strangers become friends by the second song.
While this is PICB’s first time at AMF as a unit, they’re no stranger to the Aiken music scene. Guitarist Cam and bassist Garret have both graced the AMF stage as Cam and his Dam Jam Band, and they’ve been ITCHING to get back since. Cam said, “It was an excellent time last time with excellent folks all around!”
Kenny George opens the night. Mark your calendars, bring your dancing shoes (or bare feet…no judgement here), and come pick a good spot in the field. This one’s going to be special.
